Day 1
Pick up at your hotel See Olympic Venues on the way out of Beijing. Chinese lunch in Gubeikou. Hike from Gubeikou on the Great Wall 5 hours (11km/7mi) to Jinshanling. Watch the sunset on the wall then enjoy dinner in Jinshanling village. You may sleep in Jinshanling courtyard style hotel or sleep ON the Great Wall.
Day 2
Wakeup to sunrise on the wall or in your hotel
Breakfast on the Great Wall, then hike 2-3 hours on wall towards Simatai. Because the Simatai village and section are closed for reconstruction we exit the wall early, after about 4 miles/7km of hiking on the wall from Jinshanling. Lunch and return to Beijing. Return to your hotel

These stops are usually not on the itinerary and just "come up" (ask them when booking). We don't take you on surprise shopping stops. If you want to shop we can help you find what you want at a fair price. We have no hidden costs, such charges for extra drinks at meals, admission tickets, cable cars and bottled water.
